Welcome
First Time Visitors

Welcome to Greater Cornerstone.  We are honored that you have taken the time to visit our website, and it is our hope you will accept our invitation for you to come, and worship the Lord with us.

We are aware that it isn't always easy to visit a church for the first time.  You may have questions about COVID protocols, attire, parking, or your children.

Prayerfully, your questions can be answered below:

Service Times
Sunday Mornings

We have one worship service on Sundays.  From September thru May, our morning worship begins at 11:00 am.  From June thru August, our worship service begins at 10:00 am.

We offer Sunday Church School before the morning worship.  From September thru May, classes start at 9:30 am.  From June thru August, classes start at 9:00 am.

Our mid-week bible study is offered on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm (Zoom only).

COVID-19 Protocols
Keeping you and everyone around you safe.

We have returned to in-person worship.  Social distancing is encouraged to keep you, your loved ones, and everyone in attendance as safe as possible.  Each week the church is sanitized and cleaned as an additional precaution.

Attire
Don't Get Hung Up by Clothing Hangups

When it comes to our standards of dress, Greater Cornerstone welcomes our guests to dress comfortably.  We ask that you wear clothing that will allow you and others to focus on worshipping God and not be distracted by your appearance.  Please note that the air conditioning can cause the sanctuary to feel very cold during the summer months, and a covering is recommended if you get cold easily.  During the winter, the heating system can cause the church to become very warm, and we encourage you to prepare for that.

Church Location and Church Parking
Finding Us in East Orange

Our church can be challenging to find for first time visitors not familiar with the Ampere Section of East Orange.  Our Church is located at 237 N. 18th Street in East Orange.  We are located on the block of N. 18th Street situated between Springdale Avenue & 4th Avenue.  This portion of N. 18th Street is a ONE-WAY southbound from Springdale Avenue towards 4th Avenue.

There is limited street parking  available on North 18th Street in front of the Church and along Ampere Plaza. OFF STREET parking is avilable in our two parking lots located directly behind the church.  To access the parking lots enter Centerway Street from Sprindale Avenue.  Centerway St. is a One Way Street that runs parallel to North 18th Street behind the church.  As you near the end of Centerway Street and before reaching Crescent Place, you will see the entrance to our two parking lots on your right, and the rear gate to gain entrance into the church on the left.
